You Need to Use the Orlando Informer When you go to Universal Studios

Us at Universal Florida

We were going to go to Universal during the day …

… and we were only going to get a single park pass.

But we heard about the Orlando Informer event a Universal Florida, and we purchased the tickets immediately. The tickets were the same price as the regular 1-day, 1-park pass, but there were a couple of catches.

First, we had to go to the park on a specific day–that was Friday the 28th.

Second, we couldn’t get into the park until 5 pm (they actually let us in at 4:15).

Those were the only catches. Then …

… we got a free meal for each member of our family, we got a snack, and we got a drink. But the real fun started when the parks closed to the general public. Once the general public was gone, we, along with the rest of the people taking advantage of this screaming good deal, got the park to ourselves …

… and that included all the food we could eat.

Want a butterbeer from Harry Potter world? How about 12?

Want some pumpkin juice?

Want a foot-long churro?

How about 2 bowls of spaghetti?

A Powerade?

Popcorn … nachos … pretzels …

… and …

A turkey leg!

It was an amazing experience, and we were able to ride 20 rides, some of them multiple times, we got to enjoy the Hogwarts express, my kiddos all got over their irrational fear of heights and high speeds, and we were at an amusement park until 1:30 am the next morning.

Sure, we didn’t get to bed until 3 am, but the entire experience was amazing.

And we’ll do it again in a heartbeat.
